Message From our community Partner- The Good News Club

Hello Luxford parents,

I hope this finds you all well. We want to reach out to Luxford students in 2nd through 5th grades and let you know that we are planning to have a virtual Good News Club. We are excited to have the club on Monday’s like before when we were in the school, except this time the club will be virtual. We plan on beginning Monday, November 2nd from 3:30-4:10. The club will consist of a song, Bible lesson, and Memory Verse.

Kenny Edwards, Team Leader and I, Susan Chapman, retired teacher from Luxford, hope that you will consider this weekly club for your child/children as a time for them to join this interactive club to reconnect with us and their friends from last year, and be encouraged that God is with them and loves them.

Feel free to contact us by email with any questions or concerns. If interested, please fill out the attached Registration form for the virtual club and send it back to our email. Thank you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,

Kenny Edwards and Susan Chapman

Let's Keep Everyone Well!

Please use the required screening each day before sending your child to school. If your child has any of the symptoms they should not come to school. If your child has any of the symptoms and comes to school they could be sent home with an Exclusion Letter from the nurse.

Per the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Algorithm for Evaluating a child with COVID-19 Symptoms for return to school, children must remain home from school for 10 calendar days should they have COVID-19 symptoms that cannot be attributed to a health condition and are new and unusual for the child.

If you have questions about COVID, isolation, symptoms to watch for, or anything pertaining to COVID, please ONLY call the clinic. I will address all the questions and give you the latest information known to me from the school system. When you call the office or security, there could be a delay in getting your questions answered, since they then have to relay them to me. Remember, with HIPAA, all information is kept confidential.
