OLVCS Updates
Summer Update # 1..............................June 25, 2020
Happy Summer!
I hope you are well, and enjoying the beautiful weather.
We welcome our new families, whether your child will enter Kindergarten, or any other grade this fall, we are very excited that you are joining the OLVCS family.
We say good-bye to our students and families that are moving on to either high school, or a new adventure.
I have edited the E-announcements list, so if you are receiving this message and should not be, please email principal@olvcs.org
Thank you for your patience while we finalize the list.
We are moving along in the school. We are getting supply and textbook orders ready, working on the health and safety plan, and also instructional plans, all the while keeping CDC, PA Department of Education, (PDE) and PA Department of Health (DOH) guidelines in mind. It is certainly a busy time.
Make it a Great Day!
~ Mrs. Weakland

Follow-Up on Survey of Our School’s Remote Learning Program
Thank you to all the parents who completed our short survey about their student(s)’s experience with our remote learning program for the past school year. While we are just beginning to look at the data, I’d like to report that we got responses from the parents of 76% of our students.
I would also like to share that parents of 84% were satisfied or very satisfied with our remote school program. I believe this extraordinary satisfaction is a reflection of the efforts our teachers made to offer quality instruction given the limitations that we had to face. It also speaks to the flexibility and efforts of our families. The teachers and the OLVCS administration will be looking more closely at the other information the survey offers, so that we can learn the most from it and use it in preparations for remote instruction in the future (if needed).
Fall Return to School Planning Happening Now
With Governor Wolf’s announcement regarding the option of in-person instruction for the Fall, our teachers and administration jumped into high gear in planning for the coming school year. Exactly what this instruction will look like is still a “moving target” (as they say). Mr. Terry Stec, our Student Resource Officer, along with over 10 other faculty, are working hard to consider scenarios and put things in place so that all our students can return to in person instruction in a safe, inviting school environment. Mr. Stec will be sending out periodic messages about the plans being made via email. These postings may also be found on our website at https://www.olvcatholicschool.org/Page/3050
Finally, if because of COVID-19 concerns your students will NOT be returning for in-person instruction, please, contact Mr. Stec ASAP at stect@olvcs.org.
Be Sure Your Student(s)”s SchoolAdmin “Paperwork” Is Complete
To be eligible for instruction at OLVCS in the Fall, your student(s)’s SchoolAdmin “paperwork” must be completed. This includes signing your contract and all the other “checklist items.” If you still need to finish up, please, do so as soon as possible at https://ourladyofvictory.schooladminonline.com/admins/sign_in If you have any questions about it, contact our Registrar, Mrs. Cindy Kolarik, at kolarikc@olvcs.org.
Summer Assignments are Now Posted for All Rising 6th-8th Graders.
