Nominations for FSA Co-President 2016-2017 School Year

The Family School Alliance (FSA) is requesting nominations from current UCLA Lab School parents for the position of FSA Co-President for the 2016-2017 school year. This is an elected position with a two-year commitment. Experience as an FSA volunteer is required. Additional information about the position can be found in the FSA Articles of Association, on the Parents Page:


We appreciate the work our parent community does to support our children. The FSA plays a vital role in helping to coordinate these efforts.

Middle School Night is Coming Up

This is a general information session about middle school options and the application process. Speakers will include representatives from public, charter, and independent schools. Earbuds Found

We found earbuds in the pocket of a NIKE Golf windbreaker (black, with zipper) that was donated to the FSA Clothing Drive. If they belong to you, you can pick them up at the front desk.

The Upper student culmination fundraiser is gearing up for an evening of fun and community spirit with movie night on the Dino Yard! Bring your picnic blankets, pillows, beach chairs and cash. Your support will help create fond memories for our culminating students.

The 10th annual Los Angeles Times Book Festival continues its tradition of bringing together the people who create books with the people who love to read them. The event includes live bands, poetry readings, chef demos, cultural entertainment and artists creating their work on-site. There’s also a photography exhibit, film screenings followed by Q&A’s and discussion panels on some of today’s hottest topics. There is also a special area focusing children and teens, including live readings. All ages, admission is free.

This weekly family event features artist-led workshops and friendly gallery tours and activities thematically based on special exhibitions and LACMA’s permanent collection. This month, check out how Japanese printmakers added poems to their scenes of life and landscape in 18th- and 19th- century Japan in the special exhibition Living for the Moment: Japanese Prints from the Barbara S. Bowman Collection. Then write poetry, make music, and learn printmaking in art workshops. Free with general admission or NextGen Member (+1 Adult)
