OLVCS Updates
May 12th, 2023
Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School,
On behalf of our faculty and staff, thank you for the extra show of appreciation to our teachers this week. Your kind words, prayers, and generous gifts are deeply appreciated by everyone.
We have several events coming up for everyone:
Monday is a Virtual Day so that teachers can complete some trainings. Teachers will provide assignments for your students as they did during our Flexible Instruction Days this winter.
Frozen Jr. will be presented next week at 7:00pm on both Wednesday and Friday. Please enter through the main front gymnasium doors.
Before the musical begins each night, doors will open at 5:00pm for the Art Show, presented by Mrs. McQueary and all of our OLV student artists. Please enter through the front main doors by the statue for this event. You will also have a chance to view science projects researched by Mrs. Gorzelnik's 4th grade. Both exhibits will be on the second floor of the building. Please let us know in advance if you require the elevator.
Please join us next week for Ascension Thursday Mass at 10:00am on this holy day of obligation.
Announcements for Students:
-Middle School Red Carpet Event tonight from 6-8pm in the back courtyard.
-The Cook’s Choice lunch on the 16th is a breaded chicken breast sandwich.

OLV Re-Enrollment is now Past Due. We kindly ask that you log in today!
In order to prepare for the upcoming school year, the OLVCS administration asks that parents/guardians complete the re-enrollment process for each of their children who will be continuing at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School (Grades 1-8). To re-enroll your student for the 2023 - 2024 school year, please follow the steps below:
1. Log in the SchoolAdmin Parent Portal
2. Select your student to begin the re-enrollment process.
3. Be sure to complete all your student(s)'s checklist items, including the tuition contract and all online forms.
4. Submit hard copy, grade-specific forms (e.g. physical forms) directly to the school office as soon as possible.
5. If your family is interested in receiving need-based tuition support, you must complete the online STS application. More information about this application, including the due date, can be found at https://www.olvcatholicschool.org/Page/1276
Do you have a student who will be entering OLVCS Kindergarten in the Fall 2023? Then please complete the initial registration process for this child, not "re-enrollment." This includes children who are currently attending OLV Preschool, other preschools, or learning at home.
Please contact the school office with any questions regarding re-enrollment and/or initial registration.
Sign Up To Help With Field Day
We need your help! This annual event consists of fun, outdoor stations in the morning. The K-4 students will be at stations in the back of the school, and 5-8 will have their stations in the front. Parent volunteers are needed for 'running' the stations, as classes rotate through. No experience necessary!
Our Art Show and Spring Musical are Next Week!
Frozen will be held on Wednesday, May 17th and Friday, May 19th at 7:00pm in the OLV gym. Tickets will be $5.00. There will be a concession stand, actor grams, theme baskets, and a 50/50 drawing. It will be a fun evening with an amazing performance!
One final ask...
Come for the Art Show and 4th Grade Science Fair, Stay for Frozen!

Religious Rights Foundation Update from Grier Yartz
Hi All,
I wanted to give everyone an update on our progress.
The Religious Rights Foundation of PA is an official 501(c)(3) in the State of PA.
I have set up a web page that can accept donations, as well as register people for membership.
www.religiousrightsfoundation.org
**Please note that our 501(c)(3) application is pending with the IRS, however, we do not see a problem with this getting approved.
I would encourage everyone to please go to the "Become a Member" section and register. The larger the membership, the better we look in court. Your names and information will NEVER be disclosed by the Foundation, unless you authorize us to do so. I believe the only time you will be asked for this is when we go to court. The court may want to review our membership count and demographics.
Once the membership list becomes substantial, I will send communications out to membership only.
I have asked Tom Breth, our Council from Dillon, McCandless King Coulter & Graham, LLP when we will be able to file in court. As soon as I hear back from him I will let you all know.
If you are considering donating, you can donate on the website ("Support the Cause"). Please note that we are charged for online donations (3% plus $0.30 per transaction).
If you would prefer to mail a check you can send it to:
Religious Rights Foundation of PA
3091 Enterprise Drive,
Suite 200
State College, PA 16801
Thank you all for your support with this project. If you can, please get the word out about the Foundation. The more, the merrier!
If anyone has any questions whatsoever, please contact me.
Respectfully,
Grier
