2016-17 Season Commencement
What is ACT-SO?
The NAACP's Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics is a yearlong program designed to encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students. ACT-SO includes 29 categories of competition in the sciences, humanities, business, and performing and visual arts. Participants who earn gold medals in the local competition each spring win a cash prize and have the opportunity to compete nationally each summer.
