Hansen Weekly Update
September 16, 2022
Hi Hansen Students, Parents, and Families!
We have had an awesome first full five-day week with students! Everyone has done a great job learning the routines, and the energy and excitement level remains high each day.
It was nice to see so many of you on Wednesday during the Open House for Grades 2 - 5, and if you did not have a chance to attend but would like to connect with any of our staff members, please do not hesitate to reach out, and we would be happy to coordinate a time to meet with you.
Please enjoy some of this week's highlights below...

Update from Canton High School Administration and Athletic Department
Canton Bulldog families,
We at Canton High School are so proud of our student-athletes as they have taken the fields this fall after much hard work, sweat and perseverance; we are off to a great start! That said, we are in a unique situation this year with our ongoing bleacher project and stadium area renovations. Please note: all attendees are expected to be in the bleachers unless accessing the snack bar or restrooms. The usual areas where students gather are not accessible at this time and students will not be allowed to congregate in the concourse area. This is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all patrons, and our need to keep entrances and exits free from obstruction. Students and spectators should know this in advance so as to plan accordingly. Event staff will be on hand to ensure compliance but we are asking for your assistance in communicating this to your children to avoid any issues during the event.
Games and performances can be amazing community events that bring us all together but we do maintain high expectations for behavior and sportsmanship, as well as compliance with necessary procedures and logistics. Below are some very important points of interest and expectations:
- Many of our contests are open to the public free of charge. However, some of our contests, including football games and night soccer games in the fall, have an admission fee of $5. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time by visiting the link below. No cash tickets are available at the gate. https://gofan.co/app/school/MA14531
- It is expected that any elementary or middle school-aged spectator is supervised by an adult. It is certainly appropriate for a parent/guardian to be responsible for a group of friends.
- Please review the behavior expectations with your child before they attend a CHS Athletic contest. We expect all attendees to be respectful to CHS event staff, opponents, and everyone in attendance.
- Please know that our athletic contests are school events and all school rules apply. Any violations of school expectations may result in consequences at school in addition to removal from the event.
- Students may not bring backpacks, outside food or drink, or bikes.
- Have fun and support our Bulldogs but always show great sportsmanship. We are all representing our town.
Bulldog contest schedules can be found at this link- https://www.cantonma.org/chs/departments/athletics/calendar-schedules
We hope to see many of you at our home contests.
Go ‘Dogs!
