Reading, Language Arts, and Math Assessments
This past week students took the STAR reading test for the third time this year. Teachers will enter scores as a non-weighted grade in PowerSchool in the next week or two. Next weekend I will include the scoring chart so you can understand your student’s score. We still have a few make up tests to do this week.
This week the students will prepare for the April/May CAASPP tests by taking an interim assessment in math and language arts (required by the District). We will share these scores once we have them. This will take a couple of weeks.

Kennedy Hall of Fame
Come see our new inductees to the Hall of Fame, meet Hall of Fame members, and see some of the exciting things our kids are doing at Kennedy. The Hall of Fame is a great way to honor Kennedy alumni who are inspirational role models for our Kennedy students!
Get to know one of our Hall of Fame members:
This Hall of Fame member has something in common with Cam Newton, Marcus Mariota, Tim Tebow, Bo Jackson and O.J. Simpson... they are all winners of the Heisman Trophy! In 1967, as UCLA quarterback, Gary Beban won the Heisman Trophy, given to the nation’s best college football player. Mr. Beban played in the NFL and then went on to a successful career in commercial real estate where he became the President of CB Richard Ellis, a global leader in commercial real estate services. See Mr. Beban’s Heisman Trophy in the Hall of Fame in the Kennedy Gymnasium, which is named after Mr. Beban!
Zero Period Elective Next Year
