This month we will be celebrating the sacraments of confirmation and first communion with some of our grade 2 students. They have been working very hard to prepare for this big celebration. We will continue to pray for these students in the days to come. Congratulations!

On March 16th our age 9 and older students will have their track and field day here at the school. We would like to wish everyone good luck but remember the most important thing is to show good sportsmanship. I sincerely hope that many of our parents, grandparents and caregivers will be able to come out, to cheer the students on.

Some classes have scheduled field trip later this month. I would like to remind all parents, interested in chaperoning, that we will need a copy of your criminal record check. If you are unsure how to obtain this please come see us at the office.

Mrs. Sarenco

This month our grade 2 students and older students in the parish RCIC program will receive their sacraments! This is a very exciting month for those families with the students receiving 3 sacraments. All celebrations/rehearsals will be at St. Joseph's Church.

Important Dates:

Wed. May 8th at 7:00pm is rehearsal

Sat/. May 11th at 5:00pm is the Sacrament Mass for First Communion & Confirmation

Congratulations to our students who receive their sacraments this month!

The Track Meet for grades 4 - 7 students will take place on Thursday, May 16 at Holy Family School commencing at 9:30 a.m. There will be a concession available. We need volunteers to help run the canteen. The canteen is especially busy through the lunch hour and many hands make light work. Please let us know if you are available to help. You can call the office at 445-2360 or email if you would like to volunteer for a shift to help us out that day. Please watch for a note for the Pre-K - gr. 3 Fun Day as we will be in need of volunteers for that day as well. The Fun Day will take place on June 21.

As the end of the school year approaches we would like any parent or guardian to be aware that in order to help with year end activities, the school needs a criminal record check from the parent. If you are considering being a chaperone, please stop in and pick up the forms at the office. There will be an initial $10.00 fee to have the check done, but that fee will be reimbursed once the forms are complete and brought to the school.

Last year we investigated starting an after school care program at our school, operated by the Boys & Girls Club; We now have enough interest to run the program in the fall. Please see the Boys and Girls Club website to register your child(ren).

With the arrival of warm weather finally, it is time to remind everyone about the dress code. Shorts and skirts need to be finger tip length with arms extended at the side, no midriffs shown, no underwear shown, no racer back tank tops (except on track day) and tank tops must have straps that are 2 adult fingers wide, so all spaghetti strap tank tops or dresses must be covered with a sweater or jacket.
