Sunday Message
9/14/2020 Vol. 4
Dear Twelve Bridges families,
Big news this weekend with the announcement of WPUSD's 5 day a week in-person classes starting on October 6th!
From Scott Leaman's email on Friday night:
DISTANCE OR IN PERSON – ANOTHER CHOICE NEXT WEEK
We are excited to be offering in-person instruction, but you must be aware that in-person instruction will look VERY DIFFERENT than regular school. We are asking everyone to thoroughly read our description that will be released on Tuesday before making a decision to enroll your student for in-person instruction. We don’t want you to enroll your student for in-person and be disappointed. Students will have limited movement, no cooperative learning, must wear masks, not gather, not use lockers, use distance between them and the teacher, and much more. Many of our classes will offer a view of the teacher live online to assist with students learning from home. We will work more on this next week!
A PEEK AT SCHOOLS WHEN WE RETURN – VERY DIFFERENT
School really is going to be limited to arriving, going to class, sitting at desks, and leaving. I know this sounds unlike anything we have offered in the past, but these are the days of COVID. You are also going to be required to do an assessment of your child each day and not send them to school if they have any symptoms. I also need to share we may need to have students or classes on quarantine during the year based on test results.
For those of you that have come in for in-person assessments to TBE, thank you so much for following all of our safety protocols! We all really appreciate it.
Be sure to see how your student can check out library books below. Ms. Bremner has described the process to access the school's library collection online and request books.
There is still one more opportunity to attend the webinar provided by the district to help support your family during distance learning.
Take care and be safe,
Will Middleton

Students will place a "Hold" on the books they would like to check out. Please note: The system will not allow the student to delete a hold. "Hold" should not be clicked until they are certain that it is the book they'd like to check out. You must contact Ms. Bremner to delete a hold.
Ms. Bremner will pull the books and check them out for the student.
Your books will be ready for pickup THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL DAY after 9 a.m.

If your books are not picked up within two school days, they will be returned to the library and made available for another student to check out.
Return your books to the "Return Box" on the book cart in the front office.
ALL books must be returned before additional books can be borrowed.
If you place a "Hold" on a book and currently have an overdue library book or fine, your order will not be filled.
