Lynn Medeiros for
Dartmouth Town Clerk
Experience
Lynn has worked for 19 years supporting and helping to improve vital Dartmouth town record-keeping, elections-management, licensing, Town-Meeting organizing, and the disbursement of public information in the Town Clerk's office. In February of 2008, Lynn was appointed as Town Clerk, formally elected Town Clerk at the April 2008 Annual Town Election, and then re-appointed to a three year term at the April 2009 Annual Town Election.
Lynn is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as a Commissioner authorized to give the oath of office to Notaries. In addition, Lynn serves as a Justice of the Peace. If re-elected this April 2012, Lynn will be eligible to become a certified Town Clerk as designated by the State of Massachusetts.
With her deep experience in office, Lynn has the unique ability to convert legacy procedures into improved, cost-effective, and state-required modern processes and workflows. Her extensive knowledge of the election laws of the Commonwealth has ensured a smooth, professionally-run, error-free elections process for the citizens of Dartmouth for many years.
Lynn was born and raised in the Town of Dartmouth by her late parents Anibal P. “Spongy” and Jacqueline “Jackie” Medeiros. Lynn is a graduate of Dartmouth High School and is raising her daughter in Dartmouth.

Board Participation
Lynn served as Secretary to the Dartmouth Youth Commission for several years in the early nineties and temporary secretary to the Personnel Board in 1994. Lynn also served on the DeMello School Council for approximately 5 years.
Education
Lynn is a graduate of Fisher Junior College with an Associates’ Degree in Business Administration. She is working toward completing her Bachelors’ degree in Public Administration.
