Update From the Executive Director
Your Principal Voice Matters
What a turn of events this week in Jefferson City. We were hearing that a vote on charter school expansion and vouchers was on the docket for Wednesday and Thursday. However, the tide turned thanks in part to the 374 Missouri Principals who reached out to their legislators. A total of 469 connections were made with representatives and senators in recent days. Be ready again next week. Your engagement matters. We may need to repeat and even increase our efforts again soon. I have included additional information below that you might find interesting.
Don't Forget to Spring Forward Sunday Morning
I always look more forward to falling back than springing forward. I've included a few tips below. You might try to find the humor in springing forward by watching the Daylight Saving Spring Forward Movie Trailer. I have included that too.
Missouri Scholar 100 Notifications will be in the mail on Monday.
Are you registered for the Spring Conference? March 31-April 2 at Lodge of Four Seasons
Jostens Platinum Sponsor Highlight
Jostens has been one of our proud corporate sponsors for a very long time. Click on their image above and find out all of the great services they provide. Jostens furnishes rings to each of our principal of the year recipients. The Josten Steak at both the Fall and Spring Conference is an attendee favorite. Jostens help supported the keynote speaker at the Fall Conference. Thanks, Jostens!
Prehydrate and Hydrate
Sometimes, we need to be reminded to do the obvious, like drink plenty of water each day. You will feel better, look better, and have more energy.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
Take a cat nap.
Whether you are aspiring, emerging, developing, or transformational, wherever you are on the “Principal’s Journey," it really is a “matter of principal(ple).” Clark Mershon
