Making the most of school closure
Happy April and a HUGE thank you to all of you regarding remote learning. This has been an unprecedented time in public education and I have been so proud of how quick our school community adapted and engaged in the new learning model. Way to go Wolves!!
Please continue to refer to my weekly emails regarding remote learning expectations from week to week. I will continue to send a Friday email outlining learning for the following week, and a subsequent Monday video reinforcing highlights from the previous Friday email, a new STEAM challenge and any new information regarding COVID-19 and student learning.
School Closure is in effect until April 24th
Although we are sending work home for your children, the days are long when school is canceled.
Breakfast and Lunch
- Breakfast and lunch will continue to be delivered on our regular Chief Charlo bus routes
- ALL Families can also pick up breakfast and lunch from 10am-1pm, Monday-Friday, at Chief Charlo
Looking ahead, I know we have questions about Kindergarten registration/round up, 5th grade transitions to Middle School, and end of year events for grade levels, PTO and our school community. WE are still in a waiting pattern on events for May and June, and I will get info to families and next steps as soon as I can.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, issues with technology/login info, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child(s) teacher. We are here to help and support in any way we can.
Be on the look out below for a few community resources that may be helpful to you or someone you know during this time.
Have a great week!

Rooting for our Future
We are grateful to our Food and Nutrition services staff for the incredible job they are doing feeding the youth in our community. The levels of need for these meals in our community demonstrates just how many families have been impacted by COVID-19 in some way.
We are providing in one week the number of meals our district served in the entire summer of 2019. We know that when families come back to school, they are likely to need support with lunch balances carried before the school closures and the ongoing costs of receiving school lunches.
That’s why we are so grateful for the support from our business community. Wear Your Roots and the My Montana Roots clothing company created a Rooting for our Future line of t-shirt, hats, and stickers with the Rooting for our Future Logo. Fifty percent of the proceeds from each item sold will support the FoodBank Empower Pack Program and our food service & delivery costs. This support is much appreciated to ensure students and families can focus on learning knowing that their most basic need for food security is met.
Go on a "bear hunt" with your kiddos!
Spread the word and get those BEARS in your windows or be creative with where you place them. If you would like, share your photos of your bear with us!
If you haven’t read this book, it’s great! We want to give our community something to do while social distancing.
Broke down by child's age.
