Principal’s Report
School wide plan overview-Conscious Discipline (Course syllabus was handed out)
The school is sending more teachers to training. Looking for PACE to help with costs. No specific amount was given. Her goal is $3000. Combined with the Costumes for a Cause Fundraiser.
Would like to raise enough money to offer the conscious Discipline course to all the staff and to parents that would like to do it. The teachers that have already went are authorized to teach it. Food would be offered on these nights.
These skills learned help the kids be more social and emotionally balanced.
Staff development fundraiser (Costumes for a cause and the cause for the costumes sheet was handed out)
April 20th “Costumes for a Cause” fundraiser will be at Half-Way by the Cadott Elementary.
The event is to raise money to supplement their Social, Emotional and Mental Health Services budget supporting safe schools.
Any donations welcome monetary or gift baskets etc.
Poverty simulator (Poverty follow up sheet was handed out)
Showed we have a great need for help in the Cadott community.
Starting with Clothing pantry at the school, Open house passport hoping families will visit the agencies that come to the school events ad food/gift cards at all school functions.
Community volunteered and run
April 19th family night will start off the free food/gift card program.
Next meeting is March 22nd from 4-5:30 in the Elm conference room.
New Business
Dawn Barone would like support for a guest speaker to come to Cadott- “Changing the Game Project”.
This is a 3-part event in 1 day, the speaker will talk to the Athletes, Coaches and Parents. We can make this mandatory for kids to play by having parents that can’t attend the meeting watch an online video. Would need school board backing.
To see a preview, go to their website and watch “Ted Talk”.
They require ½ deposit down. Needed by the 1st week in April. Predicted date of speaker late Oct or early Nov. They have a speaking engagement in Green Bay around that time and that would cut our travel cost we would have to pay.
Reed would be our speaker, his base fee is $3000 plus travel expenses or John himself, his base fee is $4000 plus travel.
Hope is to use these tools and make our own an annual training course.
$250.00 to be donated-Approved, PACE asked if more support was needed later Dawn would ask.
