This week!
What a great week of learning at Jerling! Our staff is continuing to lay the ground work for an awesome year through team building and practicing routines! Staff continued to work with students on getting to know you activities with special attention to community building and gaining a sense of belonging. Each classroom performed their own version of a community building activity. Among them were the "human knot," "this or that," "me bag," "all about me - number edition," "favorite t-shirt," and "STEM community tower builds. We also had a very successful open house. Thank you to everyone who attended to meet their child's teacher and partner with us for a successful school year!
Be the Reason....
Celebrations!
Help us continue to celebrate your child by filling out a Celebrate Mondays form to include in our Monday morning announcements. You could also email us directly if you have pictures or anything else you would like to share! dprorok@orland135.org and dhalper@orland135.org
Do you know a staff member that goes Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Everyday? Then nominate them for an ABCDE award so they could be recognized for all their hard work!
Social Work Corner
All students at Jerling participated in discussions about school safety. We reviewed with students the policies and procedures that are in place to keep everyone safe. We reviewed the many ways you can get help from an adult and identified appropriate school behavior to help keep themselves and others safe.
WAYS TO REPORT SAFETY CONCERNS:
Notifying a teacher (e.g. verbally, written, email, etc.)
