Spring Field Trips & Chaperones
It's that time of year! Field Trips are planned and we will need chaperones. Chaperones must be VIRTUS trained to volunteer. Here are trips that are currently planned:
Monday, April 17th- Peggy Notebaert, Kindergarten
Tuesday, May 9th- 7&8 BSF Stock Market Trip
Friday, May 12th- Brookfield Zoo Trip PK-4th Grade
Friday, May 19th- Northwestern University Mesalum Center 5&6
Monday, May 22nd- Peggy Notebaert Grade 2
Monday, June 12th- Field Day (@SJDLS) Grades Pk, 1-7

Summer Camp Camp program registration is first come, first served, $50 per student. Camp runs June 26-July 28th. There will be no camp on July 3 or 4. Students who attend Summer Camp are excused from the required Summer Reading/Workbook. You can pay the registration online here. | Tee Shirt Contest Shirts for registered 23/24 students are coming home today. If your student takes a photo in this new shirt (which can be worn any gym day) and tags our school on social media with #ilovemyschool they will earn a FREE DRESS DOWN PASS. Mrs. Bertrand, THANK YOU
After over 38 years of teaching in the Archdiocese of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Pat Bertrand has decided to retire to spend more time with family and friends. We have been honored to have Mrs. Bertrand here at St. John de la Salle for 7 years. She spent over 30 years teaching at St. Florian in Hegewisch until the school closed in 2016.
Mrs. Bertrand, we love your small group instructions, lessons, team mentality, beautiful crafts and projects, amazing Graduation programs, songs, stories, and more. Thank you for planning wonderful field trips. We will MISS YOU and wish you the best. We will be celebrating Mrs. Bertrand and her dedication to Catholic Education in a few weeks. Please join us in extending best wishes to Mrs. Bertrand!
