Dear Duveneck Families,
Medicine Pick Up & Books and Materials Drop Off Before the End of School
With less than two weeks left in the school year, I want to share with you the process for picking up your child’s medication (if this applies to your family) and how to drop off all the materials and books you have at home that need to come back to our classrooms. We have split families by alphabetical order and arranged the date and time schedule below. During your designated date and time, please enter the school grounds in your car through the Alester Gate through the staff parking lot and behind the library. Pull up into one of two marked spots between the MP room and the two story building. At that point we will give your child’s medication (if applicable) and take the materials and books to be returned to the classroom. Please remain in your car as we make this exchange. It would also be helpful if the materials and books were placed in the trunk of your car so we can take them from there. For organizational purposes, please put these items in a bag and label the bag with the following information:
· Student Name
· Grade Level
· Teacher Name
· Classroom Number
After this exchange of items occurs, proceed driving off our campus exiting through the Channing Gate.
Loaner Technology Devices, iPads, Laptops, etc.
Your child can keep their loaner device from the district so do not return any technology to us. There are two exceptions to this rule – if you are moving to a different school in the district, take your loaner device with you; If you are moving out of the district, please return the device when you drop off the materials and books on the assigned dates and times below.
Returning Library Books:
Doree will be sending out an email reminder tomorrow of what books your children have checked out from the library. Many library books are actually still in student’s desks and will make their way back to the library, so the email is just for reference if you need to look for the book.
• If you are returning library books, please use the same schedule as below. Place any library books in a separate bag labeled with your student’s names(s) and room number(s).
• If you would like to keep a book to continue enjoying over the summer, take good care of it and return it in the fall!
• If the book is lost, please don’t worry about dealing with any lost books now. I will send a notice in the mail over the summer with instructions on how to handle it.
