A Message from Mrs. Tate
“Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and angel's song, for infant's cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory and are bathed in its radiance.
Be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible comprehended, the poetry made hard fact,, the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder. We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, wise men. Help us to rise bigger than we are. Amen.”

May the wonder of the Christmas season be with you and your family all year long. As we greet the coming of Jesus Christ with wonder, may we meet God with repentance and humility. May we all in the St. Michael the Archangel School meet each day with repentance and humility to heal our world and strengthen our Catholic community. May we love one another, respect one another, and support one another as God calls us to be saints.
Thank you for a wonderful first semester. We look forward to an even better second semester as we grow together in faith, hope, and love.
Christmas blessings,
Diana Tate, Principal

Living Liturgical Calendar
It is easy to get swept up in Christmas preparations and lose track of the religious significance. God sent his only son into the world to conquer death and open the gates of heaven. Help your family keep the focus on Jesus this Christmas. Here are some great ideas.

Help make the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances a success. We can’t do it without the help of volunteers. Sign up to help make this a special event for our kids!
Central to the Christmas celebration is the Holy Mass. SMA Mass times are: Sat. Dec 24: 4 p.m. (church and gym), 6 p.m. (church), Midnight (church). Christmas Day 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Donate a favorite book to the Library
Mrs. Cayci receives many requests for specific genres and titles. Sign up for books your family can gift this Christmas. Place your child's name on a sticky note inside the book so that Mrs. Cayci knows who to write on an "I Donated" sticker.
SMA Social needs your photos
As we get further into the school year and begin to have projects and parties at school, snap some pictures and send to VSL so we can post on Facebook and Instagram. We would love to feature more of our kids smiling faces to help tell our SMA story!
