Library Notes & Tech Tips from Mrs. Martone

The JMS library is gearing up for our annual March Madness Tournament of Books! Each year, about the same time as that other well-known tournament in March, JMS students have the opportunity to vote for their favorite titles from the Texas Lone Star Reading List! In preparation for the voting, students are encouraged to read the titles from the reading list!

Check out this playlist of book trailers for all of the titles on the list. The tournament will begin on February 28th!

Attendance Matters!

Attendance during the regular school day is IMPROVING! Our campus and district attendance goal is 97%. We understand illness is going around and want your child to stay home, get well, and rest! If your child is well, please make sure they are on time for school!

6th Grade - 95.4% (UP 3.5)

7th Grade - 94.3% (UP 1.3)

8th Grade - 95.5% (UP 1)

RTI & Enrichment Sessions!

RTI sessions continue this coming week. These sessions will focus on targeted skills in math and/or reading based on your child’s specific needs. If your child was selected to attend, you should have received a letter, along with a text message from Talking Points. These sessions will continue for 6 weeks with an end date of March 10, for a total of 6 sessions.
