GASC LEADERSHIP SUMMIT UPDATE

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, GASC has decided to cancel our annual leadership summit held at the capitol this year in hopes of keeping all of our delegates safe and healthy. GASC laments not being able to provide this experience to our members this year, but is eager to bring this event back as soon as the conditions permit!

PILLAR 2: SERVICE

Big picture

SPOTLIGHT ON SERVICE: BACK-TO-SCHOOL SERVICE FROM HOME!

Since most schools are returning to classes virtually, This makes it harder to do service projects at your school with your councils. This month's Spotlight On Service features a service project which you can do from the comfort of your home!

Staff Appreciation Video

This months service project is pretty easy to do but can be very meaningful to the recipients. All you need for this act of service is to get in contact with your school councils or other students at your school and each film a 15-20 second video thanking your school staff for all they do and edit them together. Most teachers will love this because virtual classes aren't an ideal situation and even teachers miss seeing their students faces. This project can also be used to target specific groups such as custodians and cafeteria staff. Once completed, councils can contact their administrators to distribute the video. This is a very simple way to make your staff feel appreciated!

Spotlight on Service Submissions

Do you want your council's service project to be showcased for other schools in Georgia to see? If yes, click on the button below and fill out the form below!
