Brief History
Pocahontas was the daughter of Chief Powhatan. She was 11 years old when settlers came to Virginia and she met John Smith. She got engaged to Smith, but left the New World two years later. Smith kidnapped her and took her to England to be civilized. She was taught English and about important things like Christmas and guilt. She was trapped and baptize. The people renamed her Lady Rebecca. She was married off to John Rolfe. They had a son and lived on Rolfes' tobacco farm.
