From The Principal
Parents,
Congratulations to our girls’ softball team for winning the State Championship last Friday in Hastings, Nebraska. They are the first team in the state of Nebraska to finish the season undefeated! They were a perfect 36-0. Congratulations to Coach Peterson, the girls, and the parents of our student athletes. This is our 15th state championship in girls’ softball.
Congratulations to Ethan Neil, a junior, for winning the Singles State Championship in boys tennis last Friday as well. He is our back-to-back state champion! Ethan is a super kid who has represented Monarch Nation with nothing but class! Congratulations to Coach Siske and Ethan’s parents, Chris and Stacy Neil.
Congratulations to our girls’ volleyball team on winning the Westside Invitational last Saturday. They continue to remain #1 in Class A with a perfect record of 33-0 – WOW!
They will compete this week in the Metro Conference Volleyball Tournament at the Ralston Arena. Good luck to our ladies!
Congratulations to Collin Kotz, Jakob Tadlock, Ethan Foix as they qualified for the state cross country meet! They will run this Friday in Kearney.
Our band received a Superior Ranking at the Lincoln Marching Band competition last Saturday. They will finish up their marching season this Saturday. Congratulations to Mr. Keller, Mr. Buglewicz, our band students, and many, many band parents for their support of this group.
As you can see, it was a great week to be a Monarch! Winning a state championship is never easy. I am very proud of our kids and the way they represent Monarch Nation!
Have a great week!
Mr. Kalina, Principal
