Intro
It was the 4th quarter and there was 2.5 seconds left does she shoot the half court shot or is he to scared? Basketball is a very interesting sport to watch and play. I play basketball and it is by far my favorite sport. Basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith. “The first basketball game took place in 1982, where the court was half the size of today’s court’s, and only one point was scored during the match. Basketball is enjoyed around the whole world today.”
Preparing Early In Life
“We all know the old saying “Practice makes perfect” well it’s TRUE! It’s absolutely true, if your kid starts practicing basketball early in life and starts playing on a team at a young age he/she is going to have a lot of experience for their future when they start playing for their schools and start try-outs. Even if you as a parent start teaching your kids how to dribble, shoot, pass the ball, catch the ball, and other little things at a young age it is going to help them a lot.
Day to Day Life of Andre Iguodala
Andre Iguodala is a professional basketball player that plays for the Golden State Warriors his day looks a little like this. → 1. I wake up at 8:30. 2. I eat a light breakfast. 3. I start my workout at 10 am. 4. I start my ball handling series, working hard on my off hand. 5. I then go through a comprehensive stretching series. 6. Then I do a 1.5 hour of intense game-like shooting (500+ makes). 7. Then I head to the weight room. This is what a little bit of what a typical pro basketball player would do in a daily life. In a daily life routine as a professional basketball player you are working out a lot because you have to stay in shape for the season. If you want to live up to being a professional basketball player you have to put in a lot of love and effort for the sport.
Professionals Within the Field
Elena Delle Donne is a professional within the field that inspires me. Elena plays for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA. “Elena was named 2013 WNBA Rookie of the year, finished 3rd overall in MVP voting, was selected as a rookie to the All- WNBA First Team and was named to the All- Star Game as the top vote-getter in the league. Prior to joining the WNBA, Elena graduated the University of Delaware as the school’s all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball and was the first US player to ever be named an All- American.” Elena is an amazing person in general, she has a lot of camps you can go to, she also helps a lot of organizations. To stay in shape Elena works out on a daily basis. As a professional basketball player Elena watches what she eats, she makes sure and eats the right amount of sugar and healthy food.
