Library Celebration News!
The district Name That Book competition took place February 27th at the Berry Center where our avid readers took 1st place for our Region! Congratulations to Priyana Bhakta, Laasya Goriparti, Anna Ho, Kendall Johnson, Samantha Kiddy, Shravanti Sivasubramaniyam, and Zoey Tillman. A big THANK YOU to the coordinated efforts of the parents, students, and faculty who helped make this a successful year.
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports)
This month, Robison students will work on their BLAST behavior in the restroom and the classroom. Our restroom cleanliness is an area our students are working to improve, but they have been working very hard to correct this problem. In our classrooms, you may hear the mantra “FAD 1”. This means, “Follow all directions the first time”. We want our students to respond quickly to directions that they are given in the classroom so that our learning time is maximized.
In our front hallway is a beautiful “March Madness” display on which children will attach basketballs as recognition for showing BLAST behavior in our school!! Let’s see which grade level wins this month’s incentive “competition”

Parents and students will be given an exploration guide to work together at each station. Our science teachers will be available to answer questions and lend a hand if needed. In order to have enough supplies prepared, please RSVP to Kelli.Blankenburg@cfisd.net or send in your RSVP by March 9, 2018. We hope you can make it!

Field Day T-shirts--Orders Due Monday, March 5
This is a fun day when our classes get to participate in a friendly competition. Each grade level will have their own time (either am or pm), and parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
Schedule:
Tuesday, April 24 (AM-Kindergarten; PM-1st grade)
Wednesday, April 25 (AM- 2nd grade; PM-3rd grade)
Thursday, April 26 (AM-4th grade; PM-5th grade)
Each homeroom has an assigned color, and t-shirts may be purchased through School Cash for your convenience: https://arobison.cfisd.net/en/parents-students/school-cash-online/.
The shirts for purchase will have a Robison Field Day logo design that is printed in white. If you have more than one child, you will need to purchase the shirts separately since they are ordered by homeroom, and they most likely will be different colors. The assigned colors are shown below. A link to a color chart to show the actual color sample is here: http://www.mygildan.com/store/eu/browse/productDetailsPage.jsp?productId=5000 You can click on the color choices and the shirt color will change.
Extra shirts will not be ordered, so to secure your shirt(s), please order by the deadline (March 5). Adults are welcome to purchase shirts as well.

Checking Out Students During the Day
Planned Appointments
If your child has a scheduled appointment, please send a note with him/her that morning. Your child will bring the note to the front office, and their teacher will receive a nametag to give your student that reminds them of what time to report to the front office. You will need to come to the front office to sign out your child. Please be sure to bring your driver's license.
Unplanned Appointments or Emergency Situations
Please call the front desk by 2:30 pm in order to ensure the front office staff has enough time to notify the teacher to make them aware of the transportation change. We do our best to avoid classroom interruptions; therefore, we prefer to avoid using the intercom to call for students. As you can imagine, the end of the day gets busy with checkouts; therefore, the earlier the notification you are able to give the staff, the better. As always, your child's safety is our priority, and we want to make sure that transportation is accurate for each of our students.
We appreciate our WATCH D.O.G.S.! If you are interested in participating in this program, please see the sign-up link below:
