Registration for 2018-19 School Year Open

Registration for the 2018-19 school year officially opened on March 15. All families who complete registration and residency (to those applicable) by May 25 will receive a $50 discount. If you did not receive an e-mail from your child's current school, please call the front office at the school your child currently attends for more information. You may also visit http://www.glenview34.org/parents/registration.

Parents of Incoming Kindergartners and 6th Graders: Free Health Physicals and Immunizations Available

Students entering kindergarten and sixth grade must have a physical and updated immunizations prior to the start of next school year. Your student will not be able to begin the school year without this being completed.


We have arranged for free physicals and immunizations through Advocate Children’s Hospital’s Ronald McDonald Caremobile in our district on April 13th and May 31st. This service is available for students with Medicaid or without insurance. If you are interested in taking advantage of this clinic, please talk to your building’s health coordinator or contact the district nurse for additional information as soon as possible.

Chalk Talk Feature: NSSED Leadership Council Recognizes Hoffman Student Cidney Poshi-Sinani

Last month, the NSSED Leadership Council recognized Cidney Poshi-Sinani, a 5th grade student at Hoffman Elementary School. The Leadership Council also recognized staff members from NSSED and District 34 who support Cidney: Marissa Prodanovic, Resource Teacher, Hoffman, D34, Kristen Von De Bur, Resource Teacher, Henking, D34, Karen Chumbley, AT, OT, NSSED, Mary Bacci, PT, AT, NSSED, and Dori Barbeau, APE, NSSED.


Dr. Michels, Coordinator of Occupational and Physical Therapy, Integrated Technology, and Adaptive Physical Education, shared Cidney’s educational achievements that have been supported by partnerships between NSSED, District 34 and Cidney’s family.


Cidney has mastered the use of assistive technology for functional mobility and assessing educational technology so she can participate in her district programming with her peers. Cidney was recognized for her educational achievement as well as her role in facilitating teaming relationships among her educational partners.

REACH Registration: Tuition Spots Available

The REACH Early Childhood Program provides preschool education experiences to children ages three to five who live within Glenview School District 34. The program is an expansion of the existing District 34 Early Childhood and PreK programs and includes a mix of blended classes (including bilingual Spanish-English classes). Each blended class will include a mix of typically developing students (who pay tuition), students who meet at-risk criteria (and receive a tuition waiver), and students who have special education needs that are met within the classroom setting (and receive a tuition waiver).
