Most Americans spend New Year's with their friends and family. Our 8th grade survey shows that 57% of Americans spend New Year's with their family, 38% of Americans spend New Years with their friends and family, and 5% of Americans spend their new Year's with their friends.

Most Americans like to set off fireworks on New Year's. Our 8th grade survey shows that 47% of Americans like to set off fireworks on New Year's, and 53% like to watch others set off fireworks, but Research shows that 40% of Americans set off fireworks.

Lots of people like to host or attend parties, especially on New Year's. 57% of Americans either host or attend parties on New Years, but research shows that 60% of Americans host or attend a party on New Years.

Watching the ball drop on New Year's is one of many American traditions. Our 8th grade survey shows that 67% of students watch the ball drop, but research shoes that 40% of Americans watch the ball drop.

Most Americans stay up until midnight on New Years. Our 8th grade survey shows that 96% of students stay up until midnight on New years, but reasearch shows that 71% of Americans stay up until midnight on New Years.
