Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the staff here at Durham Nockamixon Elementary School, to welcome you to the 2023 - 2024 school year!
As we gear up for a new school year, we are excited to share our updates at DN including new carpet in common areas such as in room 109 (music/spanish/health) and the instrumental room. While playing outdoors our students will now enjoy a brand new buddy bench, digger set, and freshly painted games and map on the blacktop.

We are proud of the recognition we received from the state of Pennsylvania for our work with School Wide Positive Behavior in the area of Sustaining Implementation with Fidelity while also continuing our distinction as a school with No Place For Hate. Durham Nockamixon was also designated as a Youth Heart Watch Heart Safe School last spring. We continue to successfully expand Tier II support, for our students in need of a slightly more differentiated design approach in both behavior and academics. Our team has participated in extensive training to implement a multi-tiered system of support for all students.
We believe that it is our responsibility to create a warm welcoming environment where positive interactions through respect, responsibility, safety, and perseverance are valued, modeled and encouraged by all. Communicating as a collaborative team, the faculty and staff of Durham Nockamixon Elementary School put children first as they are at the center of everything we do.

First Day of School - August 28, 2023
Student classroom assignments will be released this afternoon Friday, August 4, 2023 as teacher welcome letters go out to our families via email. School supply lists for the coming school year are located on the main page of the DN website for your convenience.
