Teen Obesity
The affects of teen obesity
Fast food is responsible for teen obesity.
Teens like to eat fast food all the time. Fast food is very cheap and the advertisements are very popular. The double cheeseburger at McDonalds is only $1. Same price if you buy cookies. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago found kids and teens consumed up to 300 calories more per trip to a fast food or full-service restaurant compare to days they ate at home. Obese teens can look at one of their favorite sports players on a fast food commercial, and they want to be like them. In that commercial the player will probably say how much he loves the fast food restaurant. Also, when they see an advertisement for another fast food company they get in the mood to want to eat fast food from that company. Advertisements let obese teens feel that it’s ok to eat this stuff all of the time.
