Info for families of 6th graders
2023 May 2
Dear Stallion Families of 6th Graders,
Congratulations on having a 6th grader who will be completing their elementary school education! It is certainly an accomplishment. We are all very proud of their success. An enormous reason for that success is your support and efforts. On behalf of the Sonoma Ranch faculty and staff, I’d like to thank you all for all you have done.
On the last day of school, Thursday, May 25th we will have our end of year Success Assembly. The assembly begins at 10:45 AM and will last approximately 60 minutes. The assembly is not a promotion ceremony, but rather it is an assembly at which we will acknowledge each grade level for their accomplishments and school spirit. Unfortunately, there is not enough room in the gym for parents/families to attend the assembly. It is for students and staff.
After the assembly, at approximately 11:30 AM, the 6th grade students will walk the hallways of the school before exiting the building for the last time. The students in Building Blocks, PS and Kindergarten through 5th grade will line the hallways and cheer for the 6th graders as they make their way through the school.
You are welcome to join us at 11:30 AM for the walk. Parents are welcome to either wait outside for students to exit the building, or to line the main hallway for the walk. Either location will allow you to see your students complete their final walk. All 6th graders will exit the building at the end of the walk, which should align closely to dismissal at 11:55 AM. It is advised that 6th graders not bring a backpack to school on the last day.
I know the 6th-grade teachers have enjoyed working with your students. We have all enjoyed watching them mature and we look forward to their future accomplishments in junior high school. We wish them, and you, great success in the future!
Thank you again and congratulations!
Sincerely,
Principal
