Kleb Year-end Pickup/Dropoff
Procedures for curbside item return and pickup
As we close out the 2019-2020 school year, we know that there may be school resources such as library books, technology, textbooks, athletic equipment or other items that your student needs to return to campus. Your student may also have personal items they would like to retrieve from school lockers or other areas. Please see the below specifics for our pickup and drop-off plan.
Information request
Please fill out this quick survey to let us know where your student has items on campus. If you have more than one student, please fill out one form for each child. Access the quick Google form at kleb.info/pickup
Drop-off items
Items being requested for return include library books, athletic uniforms (specifically track uniforms and issued equipment), band, choir or orchestra uniforms (dresses, etc. from competition), textbooks for any other campus issued equipment NOT including student issued technology. Chromebooks or other devices will only be collected for students withdrawing from Klein ISD. Students continuing to be enrolled in Klein ISD will keep their device (even 8th grade students) throughout the summer. More specifics on this can be found in this week’s Bearcub Brief.
Pickup/Dropoff Schedule
Item pickup and dropoff will occur on the following dates:
6th Grade: Tuesday, May 26th, 10am-2pm
7th Grade: Wednesday, May 27th, 10am-2pm
8th Grade: Thursday, May 28th, 10am-2pm
If you have multiple students at Kleb Intermediate, please come to the earlier date and you can pick up/drop off for all students at the same time. We also recognize that many of our parents are back working outside of the home and will have an evening pickup.
Evening pickup: Thursday, May 28th, 5pm-7pm
If you are planning to use the evening pickup option, please indicate this on the above Google form so that we can have adequate staff on site.
Pickup Procedures
Pull up from the drop off station to the designated parking area and staff will bring your students pre-bagged belongings from hallway and athletic/PE lockers. Once Kleb staff has returned your student's items, exit the bus parking lot using the Lyons School Road exit.
Heath and Safety Precautions
The virus that causes COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities. We should continue to observe practices that protect everyone, including those who are most vulnerable. Texas Department of State Health Services also known as DSHS and Governor Abbott have created standard health protocols all individuals should follow.
As we begin drop-off and pick-up from the campus, Klein ISD has health and safety protocols that we will follow, and ask you to do so as well.
In order to protect each other from the spread of Covid-19, Klein staff will self-monitor for the following symptoms prior to arriving at a Klein ISD building. If YOU have any of these signs or symptoms, please do not go to campus drop-off or pick-up.
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Chills
Repeated shaking with chills
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
Loss of taste or smell
Diarrhea
Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
