5th Grade Dance is TONIGHT
Friday, May 6th 6:00-8:00pm
All students must be signed in & out of the dance

2016 Yearbooks – TODAY IS THE LAST DAY to purchase a yearbook in advance
and get discounted pricing. If you purchase a yearbook online
at www.jostens.com by midnight tonight, the price is $35.
The extras will be sold on Monday, May 23rd in the atrium for $40, cash only.
There are only 115 yearbooks available -
be sure to buy yours in advance so you are guaranteed to get one!
Also, you don’t want to miss the yearbook signing party the last week of school with Mrs. Thomas, Ms. Gholston and Ms. Kelly-Taylor.

Relay for Life Week May 9-13
Monday: PJ Day - Bring $1 and wear your PJs to school. ( Students must still wear school appropriate shoes)
Tuesday: Hat Day -Bring $1 and wear a hat of your choice.
Wednesday - Crazy Hair/Wacky Outfit Day - Bring $1 to ear crazy hair and wacky outfit.
Thursday - Twin Day - Pay $1 and pair with a friend to come dressed as twins!
Friday - Purple Day - Bring $1, dress in purple and visit the photo booth!
End of Year Festivities for Fifth Grade
May 23rd - Students will travel via school bus to Mt Zion Baptist Church to rehearse for our Fifth Grade Promotion Ceremony. Permission slips must be returned by Friday, May 13th for your child to attend.
May 24th - Field Day/School Picnic begins at 10:00 am. The annual 5th Grade Parade where our students take one last walk through Pharr as the other grade levels cheer them on. You are invited to attend the event which begins at 2:30 pm. Please allow time for parking and signing in at the front desk. (Remember, no parking in the bus lane.)
May 25th - Fifth Grade Awards Ceremony - 10:00 - 12:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Students must come to their homeroom as usual on Wednesday morning and will ride the bus to the church. All students should "dress for success" for this special event. No jeans or shorts, please! Parents are welcomed to check their student out following the ceremony following the instructions given in the hand-out.
