Good Things!
Mrs. Parks says:
Shout out to Mrs. Campistrano for being the Core Value Star of the Month!! We appreciate all that you do to help our school run smoothly! We see your commitment and dedication to the school. Your 'Whatever It Takes' attitude is very much appreciated!
Thank you Ms. Wallace for getting all of the teachers trained on the practices and protocol for CA testing.
Thank you Ms. Navarrete for making yourself available to our scholars!
Thank you Mr. Yater for working tirelessly, consistently, and without hesitation!
Thank you Mrs. Brown for your diligence and discipline in always putting scholars first!
Thank you to you all for making a difference!
Mr. Gardner says…
Shout out to Mr. Wright for receiving feedback and immediately incorporating strong concrete and abstract checks for understanding into his lessons.
Shout out to Mr. Yater for building great relationships with some of our most challenging scholars and being vigilant in seeing to it that they have a safe place/person to go to, and receive the quality education they deserve.
Shout out to Ms. Thomas for exhibiting brilliant vigilance on lunch duty, and tirelessly holding scholars to a high standard of behavior.
Shout out to Mrs. Navarrete for always taking every little rumor I hear about a possible scholar issue with the utmost urgency and gravity. I always feel secure in the knowledge that our scholars are receiving the best emotional and life counseling when I hand you a situation.
Shout out to EVERYONE for working so hard for our kids every day. All of our most valuable and rewarding moments go unnoticed by everyone except those that matter most: OUR SCHOLARS. You’re all amazing educators and even better people and I’m thankful and blessed to be able to work with each of you.
Congratulations to this Week's MS PRIDE Heroes!

A Message from the Coach
Dearest Dream Team-
Today I leave you with a poem.
See It Through
When you’re up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it’s vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!
Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don’t let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!
Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you’re beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don’t give up, whate’er you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!
The Dream Team Will Fight,
Andrea
Are you ready??? Let's Go For It!!
Absences
Absences
In the event of emergency or sickness, the staff member will notify the admin team and their grade level team no later than 11:00 PM via text message and staff will enter an absence in TEAMS. Three late arrivals within a six week period will result in a memo and a meeting with the director. If an absence is pre-planned, approval from the Director should be secured at least 14 days before the absence. All plans, class lists, and daily details should be left on the desk or table in a clearly labeled “Substitute folder”. Coverage for all duties should be coordinated by the person with the absence.
Scholars who are absent should get all work the first day upon returning (or earlier if the parent calls to pick it up). The scholar should have the number of days missed to complete the missing assignments. If tutoring is needed to catch the scholar up, the teacher will arrange this with the parent. If a scholar has been absent for more than 24 total days the director and attendance clerk need to be notified via email.
