Message from Mrs. W.
I hope this newsletter finds you well. We are gearing up for the end of a strange, challenging and beautiful school year. I have so enjoyed being on campus with your children and all the joy they bring. I think we all know that nothing has been "normal" this year, but I hope that we've done a good job of making coming to school a positive experience for your children.
This week I attended a principal chat at my daughter's middle school (check out the photo of her in "mature" make up, just because she's cute!). It was interesting to hear that other schools are having the same struggles this year. It was something that I knew, but it still felt validating to hear. This year has not been a regular year and I believe that we will continue have irregular years for a while...though hopefully little by little we will be able to bring back additional wonderful parts of elementary school. I'm hopeful that next year we will be able to have events on campus, assemblies and parent volunteers. As I get more concrete information, I will share it!
I know many of you have questions about before and after school care for next year. I have talked with district personnel and they assure me they are working on a plan for childcare before school. I know that is a need for many of our families, and I hope to have more information to share next week. I also know that Boys and Girls Club is working diligently on their web site so they can begin to accept applications for after school care at Bay. Again, I'll send out the link and directions as soon as I can!
Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Monday!
