As we prepare to begin our school school year I want to say that we can't wait to meet our students!

Please take a moment to review some important information below regarding the re-opening of schools and what you can expect this year.

This newsletter, the BVM website and the Bonita Middle School App are going to be your go-to places for information about BVM. Information on the app can be found below.

School begins TOMORROW, Wednesday, July 21st at 8:05am. Students will be released on a minimum day schedule at 12:50 on the first day of school.

Students who have not cleared residency and immunization will not be admitted to school on Wednesday. Please contact our main office at (619) 397-2200 if you need to provide documentation to clear these items.

Please join us for our first Coffee with the Principal at 6pm on Thursday, July 29th. We will share information about the school with you, chat about your concerns, and answer your questions. More information to follow on whether it will be in person or virtual.

Bonita Vista Middle School

While we are still requesting social distancing be respected whenever possible on campus, CDPH has removed minimum social distancing requirements generally and specifically in classrooms and buses.

As is required by OSHA and/or California Department of Public Health, the SUHSD will maintain the requirement for all students and employees to wear face coverings indoors on all school sites absent a medical exemption cleared through the District. Similarly, all visitors to District facilities will be required to wear masks absent exemptions.

When outdoors, staff, visitors and students may decide not to wear a mask, but are still asked to respect social distancing. In large gatherings outdoors, staff, students and volunteers will be encouraged to wear masks.
