A common question is "You're going to do this ALL the way through HIGH SCHOOL???" YES - Yes you can!!! But maybe you dont understand the HOW or the WHY of it all. Maybe you need some vision as you trudge through the dark days of late winter...
Both Parents will appreciate the information presented - it really helps even parents of younger children to understand the bigger picture and vision of the Classical Conversations Programs. Each Challenge Level will be presented by a Director, as well as the Essentials Program. We walk through both the vision and the basics of the curriculum for each level. There will be a sampling of the Challenge Books and the guides for you to look at.
Even if you have attended this presentation before, you will appreciate the boost that vision will give you as you work through the final weeks of the school year.

Having graduated 3 children after home schooling them all the way through high school, Cindy Clendenen, a Classical Conversations Director and Support Representative, would like to share with you the ins and outs of navigating the college application process! As a Challenge IV director, (for seniors in high school) Ms. Clendenen noted that both her own individual children and all of the challenge IV graduates in her community received significant scholarship offers and believes that home schooling through high school provides students and families with both great opportunities and great preparation for success in the college years. But getting from high school to college can feel like a daunting process! This event is designed to help you navigate the college admissions waters well.
- Transcripts and Testing
- The Common Application
- The College Application Calendar (when to do what).
WHAT ATTENDEES ARE SAYING: Did I find the event helpful….YES, YES, YES!!!! With my firstborn entering 9th grade, I haven't even LOOKED at transcript needs/options and was feeling overwhelmed with the process. I left feeling equipped and ready to face this new phase of our education!" -SR

Those transition years between the Grammar State and the Dialectic Years can be TOUGH!! Fifth and Sixth Graders may start to ask WHY and push back on memory work - YOU CAN DO IT Mom!!!
Come for a panel discussion and Q&A with Challenge A Directors, FE Directors, and moms who've been there. We will talk about the value of spending time on the memory work (even when they've done the cycle before), how to engage the kid who is bored with school but not ready to move on, and some thoughts on building on the memory work for the final years. We will also talk about how the Foundations and Essentials Program IS the preparation for Challenge.
