Dear Lent Families,

We are excited for our first day of Comprehensive Distance Learning tomorrow! Below you will find information about Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL), food, technology and supply distribution. This will be the strangest first day of school that any of us have experienced. We hope you have all been staying safe and away from the smoke and fire. Please know that if your family is experiencing a hardship due to the fires and smoke, please let the office know and we will adjust your child's attendance and see what supports we can connect you with. These are trying times and we want to be a place of support and community for all of our families.

Due to poor air quality our building is closed tomorrow. There will be no technology, supply pickup (Monday 9/14). We are very sorry for this and hope to be back up as soon as possible! We will send an update tomorrow regarding future supply and technology distribution dates and times for this week. The Food Hub will be open from 3-4 tomorrow (Monday 9/14).

Do you need a Chromebook or Hotspot? Or your backpack and School Supplies?

If you need a chromebook or hotspot, please fill out the linked form or email cwolfe1@pps.net. We will be picking up devices from the BESC and distributing them from Lent to make it more convenient for families. If you are picking up a backpack and school supplies, just come to the front office.The backpack has basic supplies, but more will be coming as CDL continues.

Due to poor air quality we are unable to distribute devices tomorrow (Monday 9/14). A message will go out to families tomorrow when we see how the air quality changes to reschedule.

When picking up for distribution continues - please go to the front of the building and a staff member will greet you outside and give you or exchange your technology. If you need to exchange a computer, please bring the charger.

When at a PPS location, we ask that everyone wear a face mask, and we will provide one if needed. If you have experienced cough or fever in the past 72 hours or interacted with someone with COVID19 symptoms, please let us know and we will arrange for a contactless pickup/ exchange.

Meal Distribution HUB at Lent

Beginning September 2nd meal distributions will resume at Lent as well as 37 additional PPS schools. Click here for the link to view all schools serving meals through November 5th

IMPORTANT DETAILS: Fall meal distribution will be different than the Summer. You will be able to pick up meals, that include breakfast and lunch, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3pm - 5pm (updated). Students will receive seven days’ worth of meals each week. On Monday, they will get breakfast and lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday; on Wednesday, they will get meals for Thursday and Friday; on Friday, they will get meals for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

MEAL HOME DELIVERY: For families who are unable to go to pick up meals, the district is also offering meal home deliveries. If you are interested, please click here and fill this online form out.

PTA Corner

Last May we started planning for a multicultural night on the inaugural PTA meeting night of the year. On September 17th we will have a virtual night dedicated to learning more about some of the amazing cultures and diversity at our school. On 9/17 ay 6pm go to https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xBuUJyngpA1DkpmrEl18UVzWgo_17aRQEoCO1vOt_0I/edit?usp=sharing there will be a link to a zoom meeting and information on the generous speakers. Those speakers who can, will provide translation in their rooms. We are working on door prizes as well. There is still an opportunity for others to share if they want. En mayo pasado comenzamos a planificar una noche multicultural en la noche inaugural de la reunión de la PTA del año. El 17 de septiembre tendremos una noche virtual dedicada a aprender más sobre algunas de las increíbles culturas y la diversidad de nuestra escuela. El 17 de septiembre a las 6:00 p. Membership is now open for the 2020-2021 school year. Oregon PTA has made some technology changes, so we now have a form here: https://forms.gle/tXFRjzLGdcE9SmoG7 and we will either invoice you or email where to send payment. The payment amount has not changed, still only $12 for the year.

La membresía ya está abierta para el año escolar 2020-2021.
