Liberty 9th Grade Welcome
Link Crew Day - August 19th
Incoming 9th Grade Students -
The transition from middle school to high school is a big one, and it comes along with many challenges. To help ease apprehensions and set freshmen up for success, Liberty High School's Link Crew will be hosting a voluntary freshman orientation on Friday, August 19 at 10 a.m. in our main gymnasium. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. Link Crew's junior and senior members were chosen to represent the many academic and social groups present at Liberty, and all have joined to assist freshmen in their time at and beyond orientation. Following a fun kickoff in the gym, students will walk their schedules, where they will have an opportunity to hear about their classes and ask Link Crew students questions they may have about the class and school life. Finally, freshmen will be provided a light lunch by Liberty's Student Council in our cafeteria around 12:15 p.m., where they will learn how lunch operates and have further opportunities to socialize. The event will conclude around 12:45 p.m., but you are welcome to pick up your students as soon as they finish lunch. Please plan to pick up/drop off your students at the main entrance of the school, as buses will not be running.
Students, please come with a printed version of your schedule or a photo on your phone (ensure it includes room numbers). Schedules will be available via the student portal Friday, August 5th at 6 pm.
We are aware that some freshmen will be unable to attend. Those students will be contacted by our Link Crew students following orientation, and they can look for any Link Crew student in a bright blue Link Crew t-shirt on the first day of school to ask for help.
