Martin Luther King, Jr., is known for his contributions to the American civil rights movement in the 1960s. His most famous work is his “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered in 1963, in which he spoke of his dream of a United States that is void of segregation and racism. King also advocated for nonviolent methods of protest, and he organized and staged countless marches and boycotts.

WHAT IS SEMINAR?
In its simplest, purest form, 8th Grade Seminar focuses all of your child’s thinking onto a topic of their choice. This idea of student choice is an important aspect of learning that is often missing in our schools.
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to direct their own learning, as they research something they have wondered about, wanted to learn more about, or have a passion for.
At the end of the school year, all of our students will present their final work in its many and varied forms at an 8th Grade Seminar. It will be open to students, teachers, community members and family. At this time, we can only imagine the exciting results of students’ hard work and passion.Click below to view the 8th Grade Seminar Class Expectations for Parents

Why is washing our face masks so important?
How often should I wash my mask?
The best practice would be to wash your mask after every use. Wash your mask as often as you can, daily is best! It would be best to have several masks so that you will always have a clean one daily, even when the others are dirty or being washed.
For more information you can go to the CDC website.
