Veterans Day
Veterans Day is on November 11. If you are a veteran, please send or scan pictures with a brief description of Rank, Branch and Years of Service of immediate family members who are Veterans to mcooper@ptaaschool.org.
Additionally, if you are a parent or guardian who is interested in addressing students about your service, please email Mr. Mathew at smathew1@ptaaschool.org ), as we are planning to hold a Veterans Day assembly honoring veterans on 11/11 around 2:00 PM.
Elementary School
Mr. Herridge's Music Class
Students love learning how to play new instruments in Mr. Herridge's class!
Mrs. Thompson's Third Grade Spanish Class
As part of a cultural unit, students learned about Day of the Dead which is celebrated in many Spanish-speaking countries. Students watched a short animated film, and I simply talked about Day of the Dead being a celebration of the life of someone who has passed away. Students colored or decorated skulls, enjoyed Pan de Muerto and Chocolate Abuelita
Ms. Lily's Mandarin Class
This week we finished learning the colors by playing Lucky Color Tap Game and Dice Color Writing Activity. We also started learning Mandarin Phonetic Symbols/Tones! We had fun by playing kung fu tone exercises, tone listening game and decorated interesting phonetic symbols!
Middle School
Mrs. Trejo's Spanish Class
Middle school Spanish students enjoyed making ofrenda's to honor their passed love ones.
Mr. McGregor's 8th Grade Social Studies
Students gave presentations about key leaders of the Revolutionary Era.
Mr. Mcgregor 6 Weeks Projects
Students made replicas of European countries or landmarks.
