Big picture

Reminder about student dress code as weather (hopefully) gets warmer

As the weather gets warmer, it is important to remember that we have a dress code at Proctor Public Schools and some clothing is not appropriate to wear while at school. According to school policy, inappropriate clothing includes but is not limited to:

  • Short shorts

  • Short dresses or skirts

  • Skimpy tank tops that expose the midriff

  • “Undershirts” worn as a top

  • Clothing that reveals the underwear when standing in a normal body posture

  • Halter tops

  • Clothing which bears a message that is lewd, vulgar, obscene, has a sexual reference or promotes products or activities that are illega for use by minors

  • Clothing with objectionable emblems, signs, words, objects, or pictures that communicate a message that is racist, sexist, or otherwise derogatory to a protected minority group

Parents Involved in Education Update

Our PIE group met last night to discuss a range of topics as well as to coordinate some fundraising ideas. We have some exciting ideas I hope to share with everyone soon. Until then, please let me know if you are interested in joining our PIE group.
