Day 16

  • Do you like to walk and talk? If so, Movin' Mondays are back! If you are interested in walking after school on Mondays, please stop down to see Mrs. Coppola in the Guidance Office to sign up.

  • The Yearbook Club is looking for a few dedicated students to add to our club. If you are reliable, creative, have a lot of time after school, and are willing to help put the yearbook together, stop down to the Guidance Office and sign up with Mrs. Coppola.

  • There will be a GSA meeting tomorrow, 9/28.

  • There will be a mandatory Conservation Club meeting today after school in Miss Halsey's room. Members need to at least attend for 15 minutes.

  • There will be a brief Science Olympiad meeting Thursday after school in Miss Halsey's room. Members will be getting their event schedules.

  • This week is Spirit Week! The dress up themes for the week will be:

Today is Twin Day. Dress up in matching outfits with your “twin”. There can be triplets, quadruplets, or just get a big bunch of people to dress up the same. Double points will be awarded for every group member over two who dress the same.

Wednesday is Anything but a Backpack Day. Ditch your backpack for the day, and carry you school stuff in any other object. Have fun with this by being as creative as you can.

Thursday is County vs. Country Club Day. Dress your most country style or upgrade to a more County Club style. For example wear a flannel shirt with jeans or upgrade your outfit to a polo or Hawaiian shirt and khaki slacks. Country club could maybe be a golf outfit, tennis outfit, etc. Got it?

Friday of course, is BLUE and GOLD DAY! Sport your school colors and show your school pride. Let’s fill this building with nothing other than blue and gold for Spirit Day 2022.

Dress up with your classmates every day, and report to the gym each morning as soon as you arrive to the building to earn points for your class.
  • Tug-of-War preliminary competitions will be held in the mornings. Freshmen and 7th grade girls will have their preliminary pull on Monday. Seniors and Sophomore boys will have preliminary pulls on Tuesday. Remember, everyone participating in the tug-of-wars must be wearing sneakers to play, so please be prepared or someone else will have to take your place.

  • The annual Penny Race will also be held daily during lunches. The winner of this competition will split all the money collected with the National Honor Society. To play this game, classes earn a point for every penny in their jar. Other classes will try to make you lose points by putting in silver coins or dollars because those result in deducted points. So, if there are 20 pennies and a dime in the jar there would be a net increase of only 10 points. But, if there were 20 pennies and one quarter, that class would be five points in the hole! So, bring in those coins and support your class!

  • Banner decorating will take place after school. The banners will be judged on Friday morning. Help your class put up an awesome banner to claim the champion title. See your class officers or advisors for more information. Points are awarded for each student who stays after next week to work on their class’s banner.

  • Attention Seniors: Your Senior Blue and Gold Group picture will be taken first thing Friday morning. We ask that you all be here in the gym by 7:25 to be in the picture. So, if you drive yourself to school, please be sure to leave home a few minutes early to be on time for this event. Following your picture, we will have Senior Circle practice in the gymnasium in preparation for the Pep Rally. This practice will be done before the BOCES bus departure.

  • Pep Rally will be held Friday afternoon if all goes well during the week. Please be on your best behavior all week, so this privilege is not put into jeopardy.
