Round 1, Here We Come!
You have done an outstanding job of preparing your students. Now is the time to remind them that they are prepared, indeed. Remind them to use their strategies tomorrow as you have your last round of review before Tuesday's and Wednesday's tests.
Breathe! We've got this!
Please Note:
As a point of clarification for those who may not know the reason for it, the afternoon schedule was not flipped for this week's testing because 1st and 2nd periods are when we have our choir classes. These teachers are not assigned to our campus all day and have classes to teach at other campuses. They are not always able to switch those schedule around in order to be here in the afternoon.
Yote Scholars' Day - Friday, April 12th
You were sent an email late last week with most of this information. Please read this entire section as there has been some information added:
Wristbands will be given during 3rd period to those students who are eligible. Third period teachers will also receive a copy of their 3rd period roster indicating those eligible students. It is a good idea to write the student's name on the wrist band; in the past some students have tried to give their band to a friend.
1:35 p.m. - 3:55 p.m. - students with a wristband will be released to the gym for the dance.
All other students are to remain in class. Dr. Holmgreen will place in your mailbox early Monday morning, a copy of your 3rd period roster so that you know for which students to prepare assignments. Non-core teachers, it is imperative that you gather work for your students to do. Remember, this should not be "busy work", but work that students are missing. The intention of this activity is two-fold: to reward those students who are passing all classes, and to provide an opportunity for those who are not passing to improve their grade.
When we begin, non-core teachers will send students to the following classes. Teachers in these classes, please disperse students among your academic team to level the classes as best as you can:
Mireles and Placencio - send your students to their science teachers;
Heard and Vasquez - send your students to their social studies teacher;
Fox and Eberhard - send your students to their math teacher;
Stanley - send your students to their ELAR teacher
Santos - send your students to their ELAR teacher
Mora - send your students to their ELAR teacher
Lee - send your students to their ELAR teacher
Garcia - send your students to their ELAR teacher
Once things are settled, please follow this rotation schedule, starting with your class (this should prevent an overload of students in any one class):
Students in ELAR will to to Science
Students in Science will go to Social Studies
Students in Social Studies will go to Math
Students in Math will go to ELAR
As always, we appreciate all that you do to help our students be successful. You are appreciated.
