Shadow a Student Challenge
My goal was to live the student experience to learn about challenges, opportunities, and situations a student faces everyday. I decided to expand my education horizon by going to a Junior High, and I was definitely out of my comfort zone!
What can I bring back to Glen Lake from my experience?
It is vital that students have the opportunity to move, talk, and communicate with one another. These are present in our current learning experiences at Glen Lake. We will continue to examine how to provide these opportunities for students in meaningful ways.

Come one, come all… children and their favorite adults, to InnerActive, the super-fun play space in Minnetonka, owned by a Hopkins Public Schools family. Grab this opportunity for families from all over our community to come together for an afternoon of UNPLUGGED PLAY. Try out the jumping pillow, climbing wall, turf field, full size basketball court, giant building blocks, and toddler space. Enjoy a snack and beverage courtesy of HEF.
Special Treat: Musical Instrument ‘Petting Zoo’! Bach to Rock from Plymouth will provide a wide variety of different musical instruments for your family to try, including guitar, bass guitar, piano, hand drums, xylophone, didgeridoo, and various shakers/rhythmic instruments. Don’t know how to play? That’s ok! An instructor will be on hand to teach you an easy chord and melody on each instrument. Learn more about Bach to Rock here.
Join HEF on Sunday, April 28, from 2 – 4:30PM; stay as late as 9PM if you choose. Register NOW at http://www.HopkinsEducationFoundation.org for only $7 per child, or $9 at the door. Adults are always free.
