Pleasant Union DanceFit!
In just 4 weeks, we'll kick off PUE DanceFit on 10/13 (Track 1, 2, 3) and 10/25 (Track 4). Our goal is to raise $20,000 for: Global Programs including STEM & Curriculum Support; Wellness including Counseling and PE; Arts including Art, Music, Media, Cultural Arts; Classroom Teacher Stipends; and Computer Technology. This year, more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent education experience for all students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting! All students will take part in the Pleasant Union DanceFit, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone. We appreciate your support. More details to come as we get closer to kickoff!

Did you know that September is Childhood Obesity Month?
From the PTA Wellness Team: One of the core behaviors that should be addressed to prevent overweight, and obesity is physical activity. Children ages 6 to 17 need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day and should get a mix of bone strengthening, muscle building, and aerobic activities. Many think children are naturally active and getting the necessary amount of physical activity during their play times, but that isn’t always the case. Encourage children to move more and to get their heart rate up. This is where they’ll start to see the health benefits of moving more and sitting less.
