Our New Mt. Kisco Elementary School Principal

Dear MKES School Community,
Please join in wishing Congratulations to Mrs. Inas Morsi-Hogans, the new MKES Principal effective July 1, 2017! The Board of Education appointed Mrs. Morsi-Hogans last evening.
Ms. Morsi-Hogans' appointment is the result of an in-depth interview process that involved a district-wide committee consisting of parents, support staff, teachers, and administrators. The process also included a performance component and final interviews by representatives from the Central Office administrative team. Mrs. Morsi-Hogans emerged as the finalist in this interview process for her strong leadership skills and her knowledge, breadth of experience and deep commitment to supporting the education of diverse student populations.
Mrs. Morsi-Hogans has served as an Assistant Principal at Trinity Elementary School in the New Rochelle City School District since 2012. She served as Assistant Principal at Ridgeway School in the White Plains Public School District from 2010-2012. Prior to her administrative experience, Mrs. Morsi-Hogans taught at the elementary level for 13 years; 11 years in Greenburgh Central School District and 2 years in P.S./I.S. 332 in Brooklyn, NY. She also served as Vice Chairperson for the Edith Winthrop Teacher Center of Westchester for two years.
As an elementary administrator, Mrs. Morsi-Hogans has led school-wide literacy initiatives and she has supported all aspects of Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. She has served as an instructional coach and staff developer and has led the school Child Study Teams in the RTI process.
Mrs. Morsi-Hogans earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Science in Literacy from Brooklyn College. She earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the College of New Rochelle. Mrs. Morsi-Hogans holds New York State Permanent Certification in the following areas: Common Branches N-6, Reading (K-12), School District Administrator, and School Administrator and Supervisor.
Please also join in thanking Interim Principal, Mr. Kweon Stambaugh for his steadfast leadership during this time of transition. Mr. Stambaugh will re-assume the role of Assistant Principal at MKES effective July 1, 2017.
