The LMS Lowdown

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

As we approach spring break, everyone at LMS is looking forward to much needed time to recharge the batteries. It has been a stressful year for students and staff at LMS. I know the calendar has been adjusted to allow for a week of remote classes following the break. Many of us have been unable to travel and enjoy life outside of NJ for too long and we are encouraging people to do this. That time after the break will allow for us to be safe when we return. However, it is important that we make our nurse, Mrs. Gambino, aware if you are traveling outside of NJ, PA, DE, NY or CT. She has been working with the health department and will help you through a safe return to live instruction. I know many people are getting or have gotten vaccines, but it is not time to let our guard down yet. We look forward to a strong end of the year and a safe finish for everyone. Have a safe and happy break.

EVERYBODY LOVES TWIN DAY

WE NEED YOUR HELP

With increased number of students attending LMS on a daily basis, our morning arrival has become more hectic. One way you could help make this smoother is by completing the AUXS app or the web based screener by 7:30 each morning. We print lists for our staff to check students in, but they are only valid up to the time it is printed. Any student entered after that time needs to be checked individually against the live data and that slows the process. Some people have found success by setting an alarm on your phone at 7:20 as a reminder to complete the app. I know the mornings at home can be chaotic, but we are trying to make this morning process as smooth and safe for everyone. Thank you.

LOWDOWN THROWBACK

THis year we go back twenty-one years to the Select Chorus from 1998. In addition, we have the Special Olympics Volunteers from 1998. Looking forward to getting back to great activities like these at LMS
