Blue Days
Our second Blue Day is coming quickly we want each administrator to be prepared to lead your staff for this day. It is a little different than the first blue day because we will have just had our first nine week test. Here are some reminders for the blue day expectations:
- Duty times are 7:45-3:30
- No personal discretionary days may be used on blue days. Doctor's notes are required if someone is absent.
- Blue Days are for data driven decision making and planning.
- The following items are artifacts to be turned into the principal by the end of the day:
Data Dig
The nine week data dig must be completed by the end of the day. The link was sent out to each principal to share with their staff in their schedule for the day. Once completed at the end of the day, the spreadsheet will be sent to the principal. The principal is expected to review the spreadsheet and reflections from the teachers.
Evaluate TEKS Resource System Scope and Sequence
Teachers are expected to evaluate where they are within the TEKS Resource System Scope and Sequence, document any adjustments that need to be made to get back on track, and turn in that document to the principal by the end of the day.
Two Weeks of Lesson Plans
Teachers will also complete two weeks of lesson plans to turn into their principal by the end of the day.
Principal Reflection
Review of the Day
The principal is expected to set the expectations for the day, review the data dig speadsheet, review the TEKS Resource System instructional adjustments from the teachers, and review their two week lesson plans completed on the blue day. After all of this considered, please complete the following principal reflection
