Warrior Life
Our students were hard at it this week both in the classroom and out. Our 7th grade science classes finished up their units on the body systems. Mr. Olgin's Texas history classes gave presentations this week on the presidents of the Republic of Texas describing their accomplishments and policies that they established. The International Studies Club made plantains this week. Our Warren UIL teams competed this Saturday and performed very well. Our Warriors brought home many medals both individual and team. Our medal counts were:
Individual: 1st place: 10 medals; 2nd place: 9 medals; 3rd place : 8 medals; 4th place: 5 ribbons; 5th place: 4 ribbons
Team medals: 1st place: 5; 2nd place: 4
Total 33 participation ribbons
This week our track teams had their first track meet. Our boys and girls teams had a very strong performance. Both of our boys teams took first place all around. Eighth grade girls took 1st place all around and our 7th grade girls took home 2nd place as a team. Last week our tennis team competed in their first tournament of the spring season. Our Warriors did a fantastic job and took home many awards including:

We are very proud of our Warriors and all of their hard work! We look forward to a great week this week.
Warrior Teacher of Week
This week we would like to recognize Mrs. Ashlyn Geer as our teacher of the week. Mrs. Geer teaches 8th grade science both Advanced and on level. She is the sponsor and creator of our new POP club and serves on various committees such as the Superintendents Advisory Council. Mrs. Geer has a true passion for helping her students be successful. She is continuously finding ways to make science both fun and applicable. Mrs. Geer is always at her door greeting her students with a warm smile. She does a great job of building relationships with her students and encourages them to reach their full potential. Mrs. Geer is very well loved and respected by her students and fellow teachers. She is always willing to help wherever needed and always makes it a point to become available for her students. We enjoy Mrs. Geer's positive attitude and her passion for student success she brings each day. We are very thankful to have her in our Warren family.
Warrior Student of the Week
This week we would like to recognize Sean Rodriguez as our 7th grade Warrior of the week. Sean is enrolled in various advanced courses. He is also involved in boys athletics. Sean's teacher says that he is always trying to be a friend to others. This week in particular, he made it a point to sit with and talk to a student who he noticed tended to isolate himself. This was a very admirable thing for him to do.
We would like to recognize Emil Draganov as our 8th grade Warrior of the week. Emil is also involved in advanced courses. He is enrolled in our Gateway II which he will receive high school credit. His teachers describe him as the most helpful, enjoyable and respectful student. He is always eager to learn and has such a mature student for his age.
We are very proud of these two students and how they display the Warrior Way in all that they do!!
