Information about the Shift to Virtual Learning
As many of you heard, on Wednesday night, the Board of Education approved a plan presented by our Superintendent to move students who are in the Face to Face model to virtual learning for the week following Thanksgiving Break, November 30-December 4. Below is information about this shift. If you have questions, please reach out to me (tudorm@sycamoreschools.org). As I receive additional information, I will share it with you. You will also receive additional information from your child’s teacher.
Virtual Instruction
We have been preparing to make this shift to virtual learning this entire school year. Your child’s experience will look much different from what it did in the Spring virtual setting. Teachers will be working with students to follow their weekly guide. The guides have been a tool we have been using to help students follow their work in each class since the beginning of the school year. Additionally, each student will also receive a virtual schedule template from their homeroom teacher. This schedule will mimic the face-to-face setting. You can click HERE to view the template. Teachers are expected to teach new material while students are learning virtually. Students are expected to attend and engage in all classes according to their schedule.
EHG Office Hours and Contact Information

Report Card Information
First-quarter grades are now available via your Sycamore Parent Portal. A PDF of your child’s report card will be able to view and print. We will not be sending home a printed version of the report card.
We want to make you aware that there may be an increase in absent hours reported if your student was under quarantine at any point throughout this first quarter. This is due to a coding error and will reflect correctly in the future. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation while we address this issue.
If you need a reminder about how to access Parent Portal or need to set up an account, here are directions for access to Parent Portal. If you need assistance, please contact The Technology Help Desk (513) 686-1793 or email them at helpdesk@sycamoreschools.org If you have any questions regarding your child’s report card, please contact your child’s teacher.
Hearing and Vision Screening for 5th Graders
Annual Hearing and Vision Screening will be conducted for all 5th graders starting the week of November 9th and will be ongoing until Thanksgiving Break. Please email the school nurse if you do NOT want your child screened.
