A Quick Update
Cheyanne Solis - YWAM missions training
Family,
I am so blessed to be sending you heartfelt greetings from the YWAM (Youth with a Mission) base in Kona, Hawaii again! Training for my Leadership Track course began this past week and I've already been met by the Lord in incredible ways.

Course Weekly Agenda
I've joined a group of about thirty young people all with hearts ready to be transformed further by the love of God and challenged in this intense environment of discipleship.
Our weekly schedule looks like this:
- 10+ hours in the campus prayer room, pressing into the Lord in intercession for different nations, people groups, and genres of society around the world
- Work duties three days a week in serving the base
- Weekly community outreaches in local high schools and after-school programs
- Delving into the Word of God and digesting scripture in intentional, disciplinary ways
- Studying the lives of faith-led men and women through assigned reading of biographies and Biblical guidebooks
- Full participation in campus activities and events
YWAM Community
A faith-filled community such as YWAM gives way to an atmosphere that invites openness to the real heart of the Lord. As we run after a single goal—to know God and make Him known—we are inevitably pulled into healing, love, and commissioning by the Father in the process. Being the good Papa that He is, God gives us what we do not have the words to ask for, but what He knows we desperately need.
I truly believe this community is right where the Lord wants me to be in this season.
Personal Growth & Expectancy
Personally, this time for me is about learning to stay close to the Father and let Him do the work in my heart to teach me to live a life worthy of the calling I’ve received (Ephesians 4:1). By pushing my limits, facing my fears, and learning from others, I will become a more effective leader and disciple, but more importantly, have something in my heart to pour into others.
In seeking God for direction and focus in this season, He revealed to me how love is consistency—consistency in trust, sacrifice, time, and devotion. The Lord has already begun to instill healthy, spiritual disciplines that give way to ever increasing revelation of Who He is and how very worthy He is of my trust, lifelong worship, and the laying down of my life every day.
I have such a high expectancy for what He will do in these three or more months and none of it would be possible without YOU.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for the part you play in this incredible journey.
If you haven’t joined us in this journey, it is not too late! I have received abundantly all I’ve budgeted to need in these next three months in Kona, however, an opportunity to go on a ministry trip to another foreign nation may be available to me at the end of this course which I will need to raise additional funds for.
I will keep you updated!
If you do not receive a postcard, that is an injustice. Let me know. I’ll get right on it!
If I do not have your address, please privately message it to me with the information below.
Also, please continue to pray for me and my classmates as we seek the heart of the Lord.
