Allergy Awareness at AMA
Food allergies are becoming more common among infants and young children. Allergic reactions can range from mild skin rashes to severe, life-threatening reactions with breathing difficulties. It is important to reduce the likelihood that these reactions will take place while the child is at AmeriMont Academy. At this time, we are requesting that all families update their child's allergy information/medication.
Although AMA has been a peanut free school in the past, going forward, we will no longer be a peanut free school. AmeriMont Academy is allergy aware and concerned about ALL allergies.
AMA Allergy Aware Practices
-Handwashing before and after handling or consuming food.
-General training for all staff regarding allergies.
-Allergy lists are updated regular available in every classroom and in Emergency Evacuation Backpacks.
-Secure storage of allergy medications.
If you have any questions, please see your Campus Director.
Transitional Kindergarten at AMA Elementary
Transitional Kindergarten at AmeriMont Academy fosters a positive self-image, productive social and working relationships with peers, and a strong academic foundation. During TK (Transitional Kindergarten) our students:
- Develop self-direction and a willingness to take responsibility for themselves and their environment.
- Advance by a full grade level in reading, mathematics, writing, vocabulary, listening, speaking and memory skills through kindergarten level curriculum and activities.
- Develop enthusiasm for learning and are challenged in an environment that nurtures individual growth.
AmeriMont Academy offers a comparison of our Transitional Kindergarten and Public Schools Preppy K (below). Please reach out to Ms. Ford at KFord@amacademy.com, if we can answer any further questions or discuss the enrollment process. AMA is the right place for your child!

Mandatory AMA App
We want to ensure that all of our families have downloaded our mandatory FREE school app and that they have enabled push notifications. This important tool allows the schools to send instant notifications to our parents and proved to be very successful in the past.
If you already have the app, but are not receiving notifications directly to your phone that pop-up like text messages, please follow these steps to ensure your notification settings are correct (pictures below as well):
1) Open the app and click the three lines in the top corner (left for Android and right for iPhone)
2) Scroll to the bottom and click "My Alerts"
3) Make sure "Enable Push Notifications" is turned ON (the slider button will be green if they are on)
4) If you would like to receive notices for only your child's campus, you may turn off the other two campuses, but make sure to leave the weekly and daily notices on so you receive school calendar reminders.
CLICK HERE from your phone or tablet to download the app today!
